About Us
We are Carl and Sandra Bryant, a husband and wife artist team that specializes in handmade glass and ceramic fine art mosaics. Our studio is in the beautiful Pacific Northwest where we enjoy working with people all over the country, thanks to the wonders of technology. We began in painting and handmade tile, but in 2001, discovered (and fell in love with!) mosaics as a combination of the two. We have exhibited in many national mosaic exhibitions and art shows, and our work has been featured on the cover of several textbooks and in home and art magazines. We have created custom mosaics for kitchen and bathroom backsplashes and murals, fireplace surrounds, pool borders, fine art mosaic portraits and many other custom projects in addition to our own designs.
We provide the original art, in any style, or can adapt your own design idea to mosaic. Our process is outlined below:
- Contact us about the piece or project you are interested in.
- If you want an existing mirror or art piece, we will need to know the color of frame you will need, and get shipping and payment specifics.
- If you are interested in a commission, we will get information about the subject, style, colors, materials, size, price, etc you are looking for to start the process. Once we have this information, we will create preliminary artwork and coordinate with you until we have your approval. Then we work up a full color and size pattern, which is what we eventually use to piece the mosaic. At various stages along the way we send digital pictures and sometimes the actual pattern to make sure the work is exactly as you want it.
Mosaics are a rich, vibrant, timeless art form that can be used in architectural, fine art, home décor and public art venues. Each of our pieces is made by hand and with exquisite care. We blend high quality glass, ceramics and other fine materials into a piece of art that is unique and lasting. Most of our fine art projects have an average of 1,600 individually shaped pieces of glass per square foot.
We hope you enjoy our site! Please contact us with any questions or to discuss your specific design needs.
